TransUnion’s acquisition of RentPort, Inc. helps to solidify our position as an industry leader and innovator. Here are answers to some of the questions that you might have.



CreditRetriever

As a CreditRetriever customer, I have a good relationship with one or more people there. Am I going to have to deal with a bunch of new faces?
As a result of our merger with TransUnion, RentPort has not eliminated any positions or replaced anyone. In fact, the only new faces you will see are the result of enhanced customer service and account management staffing. We are still the same people, working out of the same offices, and happy to be in business with you.

Can I safely assume that CreditRetriever will now be offering only TransUnion credit reports?
No. We will continue to offer credit reports from all three major credit bureaus, and will continue to employ our advanced ZIP Code technology to ensure that you get the best possible information on your applicants.

Are there any new CreditRetriever services that will be available as a result of this merger?
Yes. TransUnion offers a number of services that can positively impact your bottom line. From fraud prevention to portfolio analysis, TransUnion provides you with powerful tools to manage risk. Even better, CreditRetriever’s product development team has partnered with TransUnion’s expert data management team, and is working on some amazing tools that are specifically designed to meet the multifamily industry’s growing needs. We are already the only screening company that allows you to report resident payment information directly to a major credit bureau, and there is more, and better, on the horizon.

Is your name going to change?
While RentPort’s name has changed, the CreditRetriever product will carry on under that name. You will continue to access our service at www.creditretriever.com.




Vantage Data

Does this merger allow you to offer even more data to the wholesale market?
Vantage Data already offered the best privately held criminal and evictions database to the wholesale industry. Our partnership with TransUnion allows us to continue to stay ahead of our competitors in the acquisition of data. Furthermore, we are now able to offer additional tools that are a perfect complement to our previously available services.

What about product development?
As with CreditRetriever, Vantage Data is now able to focus more resources to what was already the industry’s leading product development team. In the last year, we have introduced our exclusive criminal categorization feature, and we have more product enhancements on the way.

Is the Vantage Data name going to change?
Yes. Vantage Data Solutions is now called TransUnion Vantage Data. You can still find us at www.vantagedatasolutions.com.



Other Services

What happened to USA Screening?
USA Screening was our employment screening product. We are no longer offering this service, but we are pleased to be able to refer you to an outstanding employment screening provider.

Are there any new TransUnion Rental Screening Solutions products coming out?
Yes. In addition to the enhancements being made on our two flagship products, you can expect to see us introducing our risk management tools to other rental industries.
